"We collected stories from the growing Latino community in Morris, most of which is here to work in the dairies. Many of these people have advanced degrees in veterinary science and agricultural engineering, but jobs in their countries are not available, so they had to leave their homes and families. That's something I learned through this experience: It's important to get people's stories, because you're never going to learn about yourself if you don't learn about the people who helped you get to where you are. I am the first person in my family to attend college, and I never realized how big of a deal it was until my aunts and cousins and mom and dad came up to me at graduation and said, 'Thank you for making it.'"
