Diane has worked in development at the University of Minnesota since 1994, first as a development officer for the then College of Natural Resources and later as a regional development officer with the University of Minnesota Foundation for Los Angeles and the Pacific Northwest. In 2003 Diane traded her Los Angeles portfolio for one including the Office of International Programs and the China Center.
As a regional development officer, Diane makes monthly trips to visit with U of M donors and alumni who live in greater-Portland, greater-Seattle, and Vancouver, BC. To advance the work of the Office of International Programs and the China Center, she works with unit leadership to advance their missions through philanthropy.
A Pennsylvania native, Diane and her husband arrived in the Twin Cities in 1989 from Ithaca, New York. She received a BA in Spanish from Penn State and an MS in Education and Spanish from Southern Connecticut State University. She also earned a certificate in international marketing from Quinnipiac College and pursued advanced studies in Educational Administration at the State University of New York-Cortland. Prior to her career in higher education development, Diane taught Spanish in North Haven, Connecticut and Lansing, New York. Diane’s husband, Nevin, is a U of M professor. |
